Who & What

BidMail, Inc. is a top player in invitation-to-bid (ITB) software. Our challenge was to create a time and attendance app that solidifies BidMail's role as the go-to hub for communication in the construction industry. This app serves both employees and managers on construction sites, getting rid of paper timesheets. It also includes a back end feature that makes sure employees can only clock in when they're physically at the job site.

The Solution

For this project, we began by creating several wireframes and making initial decisions about what features to include in the first launch. After completing the wireframes, we developed a flowchart to outline the app’s structure, which consisted of two main parts: the manager side and the employee side.

On the manager side, users could edit and manage their crew’s time & job site. On the employee side, employees had the ability to clock in and out, request time change. All info was then sent to Bidmail’s accounting program. We decided on a simple design with
user-friendly navigation.

Overall, this project was an enjoyable experience, and the customers were highly satisfied with the app, as it streamlined their timekeeping process by saving time with payroll & eliminating the need for physical time cards.
